Laurent Miquel is based at Château Cazal Viel, the Miquel family estate in the Saint Chinian appellation
The estate has been in the Miquel family since the French revolution, when they took over the running from the local monks at Fontcaude
The vineyards are predominantly planted with Syrah and Viognier and Laurent Miquel, the winemaker, produces wonderfully expressive estate wines from his own domaine of Cazal Viel, and also selects wines from vineyards within the region for his Laurent Miquel Privé range. This Privé range is exclusive to the Specialist list.
